Shooters & Dribblers Clubs

Guidelines and Awards

Participants that complete 10,000 shots and/or 500 minutes of dribbling over the summer receive an award.

  • For completing one club (either one), participant will receive an aluminum Centennial water bottle.
  • For completing both clubs, participant will receive a Centennial hooded pull-over.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration for the Shooters and Dribblers Clubs is not being required this year as it has in the past.  Simply download the tracking forms below, track the minutes throughout the summer, and submit the completed forms to uniforms@centennialbball.org


Centennial 10,000 Shot Club

  • Shooting 10,000 shots is a 15-20 minute commitment each day, 5-days a week for the entire summer.
  • Participation in an open gym will count for 250 shots each time the participant attends an open gym.

Shooting Tips For Players

  1. Use shots that you will take in a game.
  2. Shoot off of movement.
  3. Develop a routine that combines a variety of shots.
  4. Use fakes and drives while shooting.
  5. FOLLOW ALL SHOTS.  Never let the ball bounce twice.
  6. GO FULL SPEED – no casual shooting. (example, “HORSE” or “Lightning”).
  7. Shoot from a variety of spots.
  8. Practice shots after you are tired, don’t just quit.
  9. Incorporate free throws into your shooting.
  10. Shoot with confidence, concentration, and relaxation.
  11. Believe that every shot you take is going in. Develop a shooter’s mentality.

Centennial 500 Minute Dribbling Club

  • Dribbling 500 minutes is a 10-minute commitment each day, 5-days a week for the entire summer.
  • Dribbling while shooting does not count as dribbling minutes.  Dribbling minutes should be dedicated strictly to dribbling.
  • Participation in open gym will count for 20-minutes of dribbling each time the participant attends an open gym.
